1) Inspiration
to involve in: Initially I used to write literary pieces. Later switched to
journalist just to get my name and news printed in paper.
2) Influential
story so far: Probably it was of the great earth quack that erupted in Dharan in
2045 B.S. The reporters then were not in significant number. I did exclusive
coverage of that calamity. Many local and national media extracted my story for
their news source. International news media and agency too cited my story and me
at that time, which I feel was satisfactory story I did so far.
3) Mantra that
makes updated: All my colleagues of initial stage in this career have already
retired or changed their profession owing to multiple factors. I’m still in
this sector as I kept and keep myself up-to-date with latest trend and
technology in journalism. For instances, when air mail was replaced by fax and
fax by mail, I adopted and used to this technology promptly. Till the time I am
physically and mentally capable enough to dig out stories I try to be updated
with the latest development in the sector, which I guess must be followed by
all in media sector in this competitive and technology era.
4) Difference
in journalism now and then: The time I was just struggling in journalism career,
this sector was not mission-oriented. With the development of technology in
media mechanism and different beats in media house, investigative journalism is
blooming lately. This is encouraging progress in press platform, I believe.
5) Joy of
journalism: It gives pleasure most importantly. If undertaken commercially,
includes professionalism too. I suggest to narrow the generation gap in between
journalists in order to excel in this sector gaining pointer from seniors and
newer issues from starters.
